CH Carolina Herrera
Over more than three decades Carolina Herrera has established a sophisticated and recognised worldwide aesthetic, demonstrating season after season that discreet elegance and modern refinement are the perfect match.
The designer opened her atelier in New York shortly after the presentation of her inaugural fashion show and gathered together a team of haute couture experts, thus turning her name into a synonym for the city of New York and luxury.
After her impact on the catwalk, Carolina Herrera very soon found a place on the red carpet dressing not only the new rising stars but also the great Hollywood names.
With her prêt-à-porter collections already consolidated, she launched her first fragrance, Carolina Herrera Eau de Parfum, in 1988. Since then another 13 fragrances, both for men and for women, have been launched, all of which have been the fruit of a close collaboration with her daughter Carolina Herrera de Báez, Creative Director of the label’s fragrances.
In the year 2000, the first Carolina Herrera New York boutique opened its doors in New York’s Madison Avenue, thus initiating the expansion of the firm’s retail outlets. Today, Carolina Herrera New York has three flagship boutiques in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.
As a follow-up to her collection, in the year 2001 CH Carolina Herrera presented a Lifestyle line with the same spirit and philosophy of style of Carolina Herrera offering prêt-à-porter and accessories for men, women and children and with stores all over the world.

And we have truly achieved this; a collection in which everything can be combined and adapted to suit different occasions, respecting the individual style of each person. All the garments are created with the aim of being able to feel elegant, free and relaxed”, said Carolina Herrera. “This collection reflects the spirit; an attitude towards life, regardless of age. We have sought pure lines and excellence in the fabrics and the cut”.
CH Carolina Herrera is the Lifestyle line for everyday life, designed as a follow-up and complement to the Carolina Herrera New York experience and characterised by the same ideals of modernity and sophistication. Informal elegance inspired by the seasonal themes of the Carolina Herrera New York collection completes the Lifestyle fashion of Carolina Herrera with sensitivity and exclusivity.
The House of Herrera, whose products include fragrances, clothing, accessories and eyewear, has more than 15,000 points of sale in over 100 countries. With a global perspective and a passion for beautiful things, Carolina Herrera has been considered the “First Lady of Fashion”. She received the CFDA award for Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2004 and the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
After years of work as a mentor, critic and inspiration to design students, in 2012 she was named Doctora Honoris Causa in Fine Arts by New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. That same year she also received the Superstar Award bestowed by Fashion Group International. Recently she collected the Nat King Cole Award for her commitment and contribution to the American association EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. Added to all of this is her work as an ambassador of the American Intergovernmental Institute for the fight against malnutrition.
